Dreamtonics Vocoflex, FX plug-in for vocals

With Dreamtonic's Vocoflex, vocal recordings can be changed in real time, similar to how voices in fun apps are given a new identity using AI. However, the manufacturer, which specializes in the generation of synthetic voices, has designed the plug-in for use in music productions in a DAW.

When isolated speech or singing recordings are imported into Vocoflex, pitch and frequency spectra are analyzed. These characteristics can then be applied to the target voice.

You can also use multiple voice profiles, which you can switch between, mix and morph. This can also be controlled in real time using MIDI controllers.
The profiles are displayed using curves, which can in turn be manipulated. The spectrum within a profile can be changed with simple cursor movements.

The manufacturer is aware of the currently much-discussed issue of AI and copyright and wants to "ensure responsible use of our AI language technology, protect the rights of content creators and adhere to the highest ethical standards." Therefore, the identity of the buyer must be verified when purchasing the software.

Instead of importing existing vocals, you can also use the Voice Generator to create your own profiles. In addition to the basic settings for gender and tone, you can also set timbre characteristics by entering color codes on an X/Y pad.

Vocoflex can also be used in conjunction with the V Studio Pro Synthesizer plug-in, which can be used to create artificial voices with text input for vocal tracks. Vocoflex gives its sounds more flexibility.

Dreamtonics Vocoflex is available now and has an introductory price of $159. Regular price is $199.
